What are the factors which affect workshop lighting
Size
First and foremost, the size of the workshop is the most important factor which will define the layout of the lighting. The size of the workshop will also decide the kind of lights you will use in your workshop.
For a small workshop while LED tubes and LED bulbs can suffice but you will need High Bay LED lights or LED integrated tubes for a larger workshop.
Color temperature
One of the not so known factor, but the color of the wall determines the color temperature of the light you will use.
A color temperature below 2000 Kelvin is a dim glow of light. 2000-3000 Kelvin is the range in which a soft white light appears often yellowish in color. 3100-4500 Kelvin gives a bright white light. 4600-6500 Kelvin is similar to daylight. Lighting with a CCT of more than 6500 Kelvin is a bright bluish hue of light and is best for places where very bright illumination is needed.
Lighting position
The position where you will install the light will also make a difference in terms of glare and dark spots.
Ambient lighting
For good ambient lighting, use ultra-bright High Bay LED light which will give you an ample amount of light while you will need in your workshop. Suspended fixtures and integrated tubes provide great lighting as well for the needed ambient lighting in your workshop.
