Available in 18W with 6500K color temperature, this 4ft. LED tube is equivalent to a 50W fluorescent tube of T8, T10, and T12 types. By switching from any of these fluorescent tubes of 50W to our 18W LED tube, there is a significant amount of energy-saving -- 32W in this case. By so saving energy, you bring to yourself a lower than usual utility bill not just today and tomorrow but throughout the year. This product is also tested rigorously for heat dissipation to improve the lifespan -- about 4-5 times longer than the fluorescent tubes. The product is coated with polycarbide to provide it with the necessary durability. This product can deliver lumens up to 1800 and is bright enough for standard height ceilings. This 18W 4ft. Ballast Compatible
The LED tubes that can work with the existing fluorescent tubes do not need any change in circuit for power supply and hence it is easy to install such LED tubes. But, you just have one disadvantage with such ballast-compatible LED tubes and that is -- the ballast consumes extra power and if the ballast fails, you will need to undergo through ballast replacement in the event that it fails.You need shunted sockets for plug-and-play.
Flicker Free
Whether it’s 2ft, 4ft or 8ft LED tube, one of the jaw-dropping features of LED tubes is that they don’t flicker unlike what you would have definitely observed in case of fluorescent tubes. The LED tubes start instantly and once they start, they don’t flicker and produce a humming sound.
Voltage Input
The LED tubes accepts an input voltage of 120V-277V. You can go for a waterproof transformer in case you don’t have this voltage and wish to convert this voltage range to some other.
Low Maintenance Cost
The LED tubes will require low or no maintenance if you are going for a ballast bypass option of LED tube installation. Though not very frequent, but you may have to replace the ballasts once in the total lifetime of LED tubes, if you are going for ballast compatibility option and hence you will have to bear with slightly higher maintenance costs when choosing the former option.

Electrical code in Ontario . Do I reguire a ballast for t8 4 foot led lamps
These Plug N Play lamps will ONLY work if there is a ballast but they do not work with all ballasts. I've attached the Compatibility list. If your ballast model is on there (exactly as written), then it will work with the tube. If not, you
won't be able to use these style of tubes.

1 pack come with 2 bulbs
No, 1 -pack is 1 bulb, 4-pack is 4 bulbs, and so on. These Glass Plug N Plays can only be purchased in quantities of 15 or 30. 30 is the master case.

Is this bulb a good choice for a garage where I need very bright light to work under?
Yes, they will give you the experience of a ‘çool white light’ color glow with a little bluish hue and where there is no yellowish or faded glow.

Is it better to turn these t8 4 ft bulbs off and on as needed, or leave them on , from an energy use and cost concern? And how muchheat do they produce? Can i heet a garage. with them ?
It's always advisable to switch them off when not needed. It's operating temperature is -4Degree F TO +113Degree F.

I noticed Lithonia #1233 RE shoplight wasn't on on list. By chance is this widely available shoplight compatible with these bulbs? Thank you
The ballast compatibility list comprises of those brands and models of ballasts for which our bulbs performance have been tested by our engineers. Unfortunately, its not tested for Lithonia ballasts. This light is our own brand.
